Carla has been a Registered Massage Therapist for eight years and incorporates a wide variety of skills to her practice.

Carla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Calgary, and has experience working as a crisis counselor helping others to heal from abuse and trauma. She expanded her scope, realizing that in order to recover, healing must address all levels of being – body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Carla then began to pursue a career in massage therapy, studying at both the Northwestern School of Orthopaedic Massage, and the Foothills College of Massage Therapy. Carla has also completed her Reiki Master level training and teaches in this area. In addition, she also has experience teaching meditation, and spiritual awareness.

Carla has had the opportunity to continue her education with specialized training in Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Somato Emotional Release, and Visceral Manipulation. Carla is an Advanced Craniosacral Therapist and has completed her focus on pediatrics. Additionally, Carla is a teaching assistant in Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, giving her time and experience to others as they learn this wonderful skill.

Carla continues to grow as a practitioner, and is currently completing her studies in Nursing at the University of Calgary. She has a strong knowledge base of both allopathic and alternative medical approaches, and continues to integrate all of her experience into her treatment sessions.
