Angie was trained in the 1000 hour program at the Foothill College of Massage Therapy. Since becoming a Licensed and Registered Massage Therapist in October of 2004, Angie has had the opportunity to apply her training in a number of different areas. She has integrated techniques specializing in rehabilitation from work related stress and injuries, low back pain, sprains, strains, headaches, muscle tension, tendonitis, and pregnancy related issues. Angie is proficient in Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue Swedish massage techniques, and while using these techniques, is very sensitive to the pressure needs of the client. She introduces clients to new ways to care for themselves through specific breathing and stretching exercises.

Angie believes massage therapy is a rewarding way to contribute to others’ well being. She has acquired new techniques to integrate into her practice, including Hot Stone Therapy, and Raindrop therapy. These areas of expertise are exceptional tools to allow people to achieve their goals for a healthy lifestyle.

HOT STONE THERAPY
Hot Stone Therapy is great way to relieve chronic tension and pain. Warm, smooth basalt stones are used in the massage and placed gently on the body. This creates a deeper state of relaxation, as well as the therapeutic benefits of toxin release, increased circulation, and boosting of the immune system.

RAINDROP THERAPY
A variety of specially mixed essential oils are dropped like rain along the spine, one layered upon another. The back and legs are massaged, as well as the feet and hands. Hot compresses are used throughout the massage, releasing toxins and boosting the immune system. There are incredible therapeutic benefits to this treatment.
