Dr. Hoffos has her undergraduate degree in General Arts and Sciences from Mount Royal University, where she focused on archaeology and anthropology. She then made her way to Palmer College of Chiropractic, the fountainhead of the profession, in Davenport, Iowa. Here she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, and from Pi Tau Delta, the International Chiropractic Honor Society. During her studies in Chiropractic College, Dr. Hoffos worked in the gross anatomy lab where she handled many human cadavers and specimens, and helped fellow students to master the anatomy of the human body.
The major focus of her studies in Chiropractic College was anatomy, physiology, and the nervous system, all integral subjects to master when becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Hoffos also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Academic Radiology where she discovered her skill for taking radiographs. Palmer College of Chiropractic has one of the world’s most extensive osteological collections, and Dr. Hoffos took advantage of the opportunity to study in such a specimen rich environment.
Dr. Hoffos enjoys swimming, yoga, walking, music, reading, animals and spending time with friends and family. She frequently travels to Canmore, Alberta and Windermere, British Columbia where she camps and spends time in nature.
Dr. Hoffos focuses on the upper cervical spine, and its intimate connection to posture and general health. She uses a low force spinal correction at the base of the skull to bring the head and neck into vertical alignment, and to restore balance to the postural muscles. Dr. Hoffos is presently Part I certified in NUCCA, and is currently working on Part II certification.
